I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (Registration # 842562).  Mental health has always been my focus; I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology as well as a Master of Social Work with specialization in mental health and health.

 

I have gathered years of clinical and academic experience to understand the theories of human development and behavior, and how the biopsychosocial aspects help shape the mind and impact behaviors. I hold a Doctorate in Medicine and am currently pursuing my psychiatry residency.  My passion is to ensure I am able to bridge the gap between psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.

 

I have years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with a range of mental health issues. I have worked with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, psychosis, and many other mental health concerns. I have also worked within the health and developmental disabilities sectors to help individuals and their families deal with the changes they may face. I also take pride in working with individuals who are struggling to adapt to a different cultural environment, as well as families dealing with cultural differences.

 

I strive to formulate a therapeutic environment that is free of judgement, client focused, and trauma informed. I take pride in ensuring that all therapeutic practices are formulated on Evidence Based Therapeutic techniques including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal psychotherapy, and mindfulness.

 

I can promise you that I will always conduct sessions with the utmost respect for your story and circumstances. Though I cannot promise you that therapy will change your circumstances, I can assure you that it will change the way you are able to cope with your circumstances!
